When you download Saebl, we collect your name and email address. That's it. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no usage telemetry, no behavioural data. We don't know how you use the product, how often you open it, or what you trade. We don't want to know.
We do not collect or transmit any of the following: trading activity, portfolio data, API keys, broker credentials, LLM conversations, trade history, performance metrics, IP addresses, device fingerprints, crash reports, or usage analytics. Zero telemetry. Zero tracking.
All trading data — credentials, configuration, trade logs, lessons, playbook — is stored locally on your machine at ~/.saebl/. Nothing is sent to our servers. Config files containing API keys are written with 0600 permissions (owner read/write only). You own your data completely.
Saebl connects directly to your chosen LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) and your broker (Alpaca) using your own API keys. These connections go from your machine to their servers — Saebl is not a middleman. Review each provider's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
Saebl periodically checks for updates by connecting to updates.saebl.com. This request sends only your current version number — no usage data, no telemetry, no device identifiers. Server logs are retained for 7 days for debugging purposes only. You can disable auto-update checks in Settings → General.
We use your name and email to deliver your license key and notify you of major software updates. We will never sell, share, or rent your information to anyone. We don't send marketing emails. If you want to be removed from our records entirely, email us and we'll delete everything.
Want to remove all local data? Delete the ~/.saebl/ directory. Want us to delete your name and email from our records? Email us. No forms, no retention periods, no dark patterns. Done means done.
We built Saebl to be a tool you own, not a service that owns you. We have no interest in your data because our business model doesn't depend on it. You paid once — the product is yours. Use it, enjoy it, and know that nobody is watching.
